WIIT Special Events Committee Update: 2006 Annual Luncheon

As tradition holds, an annual gathering marks the end of a year for the Association of Women in International Trade (WIIT) around the end of May.We honor our "Woman of the Year" for her professional record and accomplishments in international trade, and the current WIIT President hands her torch to a successor.

On June 5th, 2006, more than 170 WIIT members and friends came together at the Annual WIIT Luncheon held at the University Club of Washington DC. WIIT was pleased to honor Senator Blanche L. Lincoln as the 2006 Woman of the Year. Senator Lincoln has served as an inspiring and pioneering leader and an advocate for U.S. trade liberalization.

Angela Marshall Hofmann presents Senator Blanche Lincoln the 2005/2006 WIIT Woman of the Year Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution and advocacy for international trade and to support of women involved in international trade.
