The International Economics Study Center Website

http://internationalecon.com/index.html

Steve Suranovic, an Associate Professor of Economics and International Affairs at The George Washington University (GW) in Washington D.C. has been constructing this web site since late 1996, primarily for use by his students in international economics courses at GW and at the Cornell in Washington program. The main feature is an international trade textbook or "web text" which he has used as a substitute for a traditional textbook since Spring 1997. The on-line textbook includes different models of trade, the effects of trade policy on international trade, trade history and law, fairness in international trade, and many more subjects. It's an on-line treasure chest full of international trade gold nuggets, just waiting for the eager student or international trade professional to dig in and benefit from its wealth of knowledge. The best thing about this website is that there is no cost for access to all this great information.

Other features at the site include links to current international trade news stories, a site devoted to the issue of fairness in international trade, preliminary notes for an international finance webtext, and much more. In addition, there are now two comprehensive course syllabi posted for two undergraduate semester courses. One course is in International Trade. The second is a one semester combined Trade and Finance course.

This site is useful for students and professionals interested in keeping up-to-date on international economic issues.
