WIIT Professional Development Event: International Careers Panel

On March 6, 2007, WIIT co-sponsored "Panel on International Careers for Graduate Students and Professionals" with the George Washington University Center for International Business Education and Research (GW-CIBER). Three WIIT members were featured on the five-person panel: Jennifer Bindhammer, Amanda DeBusk and Jennifer Mulveny. The panelists discussed their diverse careers in international trade and business; how they have managed career challenges; and what they have learned along the way. Roughly 200 attendees were present for the excellent strategic advice that included whether, and how, to move between government and the private sector; how to approach each new job; and working in international environments. The event was taped for distribution to the CIBER national network and WII. It marks the first of several planned collaborative efforts between WIIT and the GW-CIBER.
