WIIT 2007 Winter Social with His Excellency, the Ambassador of Jordan
On Wednesday February 7, 2007, WIIT held its annual Winter Social. The Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan hosted by the.reception. His Excellency Prince Zeid Bin Raad, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, provided the keynote address.

Following introductory remarks by WIIT President-Elect Susan Schmidt, His Excellency discussed women's issues and the importance of trade to Jordan's economy. In a manner both insightful and informative, His Excellency addressed the roles and integral contributions of women to the Jordanian economy and in international fora. Guests also learned about his recent work at the United Nations as the head of the advisory committee of the UN Development Fund for Women. The Ambassador and other Embassy representatives anticipate a continuous working relationship with WIIT and its members.
More than 100 people attended the Winter Social. WIIT would like to express gratitude to the Embassy for its hospitality, for providing the catering, and presenting calendars featuring beautiful pictures of Jordan. WIIT would also like to thank Mr. Ziad Khreisat, the Embassy's Commercial Counselor, without whom this event would not have been possible.
