Your WIIT Officers and Board of Directors (2007-2008):
OFFICERS
Susan Schmidt, President
Susan is a partner at the law firm of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP and
a Managing Director at the consulting firm of ManattJones Global Strategies.
Her involvement with WIIT includes serving as a Co-Chair of the Western Hemisphere
Section, a member of the Corporate Advisory Board, and a member of WIIT's
Board of Directors and its Awards Committee. Susan has been a WIIT member
since 1999.
Tonya Kemp, President-Elect
Tonya handles the trade and food aid issues for Gordley Associates, a government
relations firm, focused on practice areas related to agriculture. She has
served as a WIIT Co-Chair of the Professional Development Committee, Chair
of the Agricultural Committee, and VP of Programs. She also served on the
WIIT Board of Directors (2005 to 2007). Tonya has been a WIIT member since
1998.
Nicole Bivens Collinson,
Past-President
Nicole is a partner, member of the Operating Committee, and Practice Group
Leader at Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., an international trade consulting
and legal firm. Her involvement with WIIT includes serving as President (2006-2007),
Treasurer (2005-2006), and as a member of the Corporate Advisory Board. Nicole
has been a member of WIIT since 1988.
Maria DiGiulian, Secretary
Maria is the Vice President of FWH and Associates, LLC, an international policy
consulting firm. She also served on WIIT's Board of Directors (2002- 2004).
Maria has been a member of WIIT since 1991.
Roberta Daghir, Treasurer
Bobbi is an attorney at BlankRome. She has served as its Treasurer since 2006.
She also has been a Co-Chair of the Agriculture Committee. Bobbi has been
a member of WIIT since 2006.
Loretta L. Schmitzer,
VP Professional Development
Loretta is Vice President of Government Affairs at The Boeing Company. Her
involvement with WIIT dates from the beginning of the organization. She is
in her second year as Vice President of the Professional Development Committee.
Loretta has been a WIIT member since 1990.
Catherine Robinson,
VP Programs
Catherine is a Director at the National Association of Manufacturers. Her
involvement with WIIT includes serving as a Co-Chair of the Europe Section
and Vice President of Programs since 2006. Catherine was also the 2006 WIIT
Member of the Year. Catherine has been a member of WIIT since 2004.

2006-2008 Terms:
Maria Abrantes
Maria is the Angola Trade Representative and has represented the Angolan Agency
for Private Investment for the past eight years. She has served as a WIIT
Co-Chair for Programs; Co-Chair of the African Section and, for three terms,
Co-Chair of the Special Events Committee. As a member of the Board of the
Directors, she participates on the Board's Awards Committee and Fund Raising
Committee. Maria has been a WIIT member since 2000.
Michelle DeMoor
Michelle is the Senior Director for International Policy at Philips Electronics.
She has held several WIIT roles including Co-Chair of the Membership Committee,
and Co-Chair for both the International Development and WTO Committees. She
has been a WIIT member since 2000.
Andrea Durkin
Andrea is a Director for Global Government Affairs & Policy at Abbott
Laboratories. Andrea has been a member of WIIT since 2004.
Christine Locascio
Christine is a Vice President, International Issues and Trade, at the Distilled
Spirits Council of the United States. For several years, she served on the
Special Events Committee. Christine has been a member of WIIT since 2002.
Jill Pollack
Jill is a Special Assistant in the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary
for Import Administration within the International Trade Administration. Her
involvement with WIIT has included serving as Co-Chair of the Professional
Development Committee and the Asia-Pacific Section. Jill has been a member
of WIIT since 2001.
Laura Trejo
Laura is a senior attorney working in the public sector. Laura formerly managed
WIIT's mentorship program and served as a Co-Chair of the Western Hemisphere
Section. She was the 2005 WIIT Member of the Year. Laura has been a WIIT member
since 2002.
2007-2009 Terms:
Andrea Ewart
Andrea is a trade and customs attorney and consultant. Her involvement with
WIIT has included serving as Co-Editor of the WIIT Newsletter and as the WIIT
representative to the Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT).
Andrea has been a member of WIIT since 2002.
Ana Guevara
Ana works at the Department of Commerce. She recently relocated to Washington
from Miami, where she was honored as OWIT's 2004 International Businesswoman
of the Year. Ana has been a member of WIIT-DC since 2007.
Elizabeth Haines
Betsy is with the U.S. International Trade Commission, but currently is on
detail to USTR. She has served as WIIT's Vice President (1996-1998) and as
a Board Member (1998- 2000). Betsy has been a member of WIIT since 1993.
Randi Levinas
Randi is Vice President of Policy and Programs at the U.S.-Russia Business
Council. She has served as the Chair of the Elections Committee and on the
WIIT Trust Committee. Randi has been a member of WIIT since 1992.
Elizabeth Nesbitt
Elli is an International Trade Analyst for Biotechnology and Nanotechnology
at the U.S. International Trade Commission. Her involvement with WIIT includes
serving as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee, and member of WIIT's Board
of Directors and the Awards Committee. In 2004, she was co-named as the "Outstanding
WIIT Member of the Year." Elli has been a member of WIIT since 1990.
The current President
and Past President also are members of the Board of Directors, each with one-year
terms.
