Professional Development Series: Resume Writing with Georgetown University's
Lisa Keathley
On December 4, Lisa Keathley, Director of Georgetown
's Career Development Center , participated in WIIT's Professional Development
series and discussed resume writing. Ms. Keathley oversees Georgetown's job
search strategy education, employer outreach, and vacancy postings for international
affairs students and alums from six graduate programs. Participants benefited
from Ms. Keathley's insight into the actual versus the intended message of
resumes, and how to write them to get the attention of prospective employers.
Drawing on her substantial experience and expertise, Ms. Keathley provided
not only practical and effective resume techniques, but also discussed techniques
for writing resumes targeting specific employers.
