Senior Program Officer for Asia Society

The Senior Program Officer coordinates and manages trade and economic initiatives, including task forces, policy commissions, and Track II dialogues carried out by the Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI), an independent, non- partisan, global think/do tank focused on tackling the major policy challenges confronting the Asia-Pacific in security, prosperity, sustainability, and the development of common norms and values for the region. He/she also coordinates ASPI’s public events and private meetings/roundtables in Washington, D.C.

Attorney-Advisor in the Office of the Chief Counsel for International Commerce

The U.S. Department of Commerce Office of the General Counsel is seeking a GS-12/13 Attorney-Advisor in the Office of the Chief Counsel for International Commerce (OCC/IC). OCC/IC provides programmatic legal advice and support to the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration (ITA) in support of the Department’s work in opening foreign markets, fostering the free flow of data across borders, ensuring compliance with international trade agreements, promoting investment in the United States, supporting U.S. exports, and protecting U.S. commercial interests abroad.  OCC/IC attorneys work on diverse legal issues including international trade, investment, competition, anticorruption and transparency, and export promotion.  Attorneys in the office support the negotiation and implementation of international trade and investment agreements, work on ensuring that foreign countries are complying with these agreements, and provide legal support to a wide variety of ITA trade and investment programs.
