The 2018 Farm Bill legalized the production of hemp as an agricultural commodity while removing it from the list of controlled substances. This move created a boom in U.S. production of hemp and hemp-based products over the past two years, but the growth has not come without pains in large part due to lack of adequate regulatory oversight. Our panelists will provide an overview of the U.S. industrial hemp landscape and the opportunities and challenges it faces in becoming part of a growing global market.
