The Association of Women in International Trade (WIIT) invites you to a Career Talk on how to create, enhance and leverage your personal brand for effective professional networking results. The event will feature professional headshot photographer Lisa Damico who will describe “How Your Headshot Can Be Your Secret Weapon”. Learn from Ms. Damico how to evaluate if your current headshot is helping or hurting your career, how to best prepare for a professional headshot session, and how to end up with a headshot you love—whether you are naturally photogenic or not! She’ll share practical tips and takeaways on leveraging your headshot to elevate your personal brand, influence how others perceive you, and create new opportunities.
The session will be followed by advice from Yuri Unno, Andrea Durkin and Lisa Schroeter on effective networking strategies and tips for leveraging your personal brand within your professional network and for future employment opportunities.

is an award-winning photographer based in Arlington, Virginia, who specializes in headshots, personal branding, and online dating photos. She combines a background in marketing with her photography skills to strategically create images that help take her clients’ careers, self-confidence, and even love lives to the next level. Her goal in photographing every client is to show them the best photos they have ever seen of themselves. A graduate of the University of Virginia, Lisa speaks fluent French and Spanish and enjoys traveling, cooking, Brazilian jiu jitsu, listening to personal development podcasts, and spending time with her husband.
represents interests of Toyota on trade issues in front of the Executive Branch and to Congress, as well as Embassies in Washington and other key diplomatic places such as Geneva. She also provides creative and precise advice and analysis to the company executives on international issues that could affect Toyota’s U.S. and global operations. Prior to joining Toyota in 1999, she worked as an Asia Analyst at G7 Group, a consulting firm providing policy analysis affecting financial investment. She wrote an analytical piece on the Japanese financial market, Nikkei and Yen trends for daily briefings, and managed publication of Japanese daily briefings to the international clients.
is the president-elect of WIIT. Andrea is the principal of Sparkplug, LLC, an independent consulting firm and the Editor-in-Chief of TradeVistas, a website to engage the public on the role of international trade in their lives and communities. She recently launched Consensus, an innovative digital tool to teach trade negotiation techniques. Andrea serves as a Non-Resident Senior Fellow on Global Agriculture and Food with the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and an advisor to the Economic Team at the George W. Bush Presidential Center.
is the Global Director of Trade and Investment Policy for Dow. As part of the corporate Global Government Affairs team, Lisa’s responsibilities focus on trade policy and regulations, trade negotiations, and investment issues that foster growth in Dow’s global businesses through identification of policies facilitating market access and reducing global distribution costs. Her role has direct responsibility for developing the company’s global trade strategy, driving impact assessments and response to emerging trade issues and facilitating government affairs strategies aligned with Dow’s investment priorities. Lisa manages the company’s outreach to key trade-related entities in the US Administration, Washington DC embassy community and across key governments.
