Biographies:

Dr. Christine Côté, Associate Professorial Lecturer / Academic Director CEMS Masters in International Management

Dr. Christine Côté has over 20 years of experience in leadership roles across business, government and academia focused in the areas of international trade, investment and global strategy. Dr. Côté is currently an Associate Professorial Lecturer in the Department of Management at the London School of Economics and the Academic Director for the CEMS Master’s in International Management.  She is a member of LSE's International Trade Policy Unit and a lecturer on the Programme in Advanced Trade Negotiation for the UK Government and a regular consultant to global companies through LSE Enterprise.  

Before entering academia, Dr. Côté worked as an international trade negotiator with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada representing Canada in negotiations at the WTO, the OECD and on bilateral trade and investment agreements.  Prior to this Dr. Côté worked as a strategy, policy and economics consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers based out of London England and was responsible for advising Governments in Europe, Africa and Asia on institutional development, public sector reform and major strategic public policy decisions. She was also a political advisor and organizer in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada.


Helen Sheppard, Global Corporate Responsibility and Inclusion Manager at the RELX Group

Helen is an experienced corporate responsibility leader working at RELX, a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers with more than 33,000 employees in 40 countries. She is responsible for human rights, engagement on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, including the management of the RELX SDG Resource Centre, and advancing inclusion and diversity. She launched a women in technology mentoring programme, now in its fourth year, to improve diversity in the growing technology workforce. She currently leads RELX’s living wage assessments and is conducting human rights due diligence for the business. Previously she managed RELX’s global community programme. Externally Helen represents RELX on the UNGC action platform for Decent Work in Global Supply Chains and Target Gender Equality.  

Helen is a fellow of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability and holds an MSC in Development Studies from Birkbeck, University of London. She lives in Hertfordshire with her two young children. 


Katherine Nunner, Senior Consultant, Crowell & Moring International

Katherine Nunner advises international public-private partnerships and business strategy for entering new markets.

Prior to joining C&M International, Katherine supported areas in the World Bank’s private sector investments including partnerships in accessing financing for early stage entrepreneurs and the design of social impact bonds. She has also advised multinational companies such as SABMiller and implemented an investment fund in the Caribbean. Katherine has published case studies for the LSE in foreign direct investment in emerging markets. Katherine is the co-chair for Anti-Corruption & Corporate Social Responsibility for The Association of Women in International Trade (WIIT) and holds a certification in health care compliance from Seton Hall School of Law. Katherine is an active volunteer with The Junior League of Washington. She holds a Bachelor of Science in economics management from Ohio Wesleyan University and an MSc in development management from The London School of Economics & Political Science.
