Vivit Kavi is the owner of Dua Coffee DC. Vivit moved to the U.S. from Indonesia in 2005 with her husband and daughters. After a successful career in journalism, Vivit decided to use her expertise in connection and communication to bring a part of her home to D.C. In September 2019, Vivit opened Dua Coffee DC, the first Indonesian specialty coffee shop, woman-owned, in Washington DC. Dua works directly with farmers in Indonesia to facilitate direct trade, ensuring the coffee is 100 percent single-origin Indonesian. Dua's coffee beans not only have a unique story behind them but also originate from a farm that practices ecologically sustainable coffee production. These quality beans are then crafted into delicious signature beverages from recipes created by Dua's very own baristas.
