Please plan to join our growing member community for our 2024 Annual Meeting.

As members, you have the opportunity to join numerous educational and networking events and participate in key parts of our association. One of the critical meetings we host is our Annual Meeting. This years meeting will take place at the National Press Club on May 22, 2024 at 5:00PM.

As a member, you deserve to hear what’s going on with the association in general, review the finances and proposed budget and hear updates from committee chairs.  You also have an opportunity and the right to vote on the 2024-25 slate of WIIT DC officers and program chairs. 

Your presence and participation are extremely important as we vote on new board members and review our plans and budget for the 2024-2025 year. Having a quorum is essential for WIIT DC to continue to operate efficiently and with the benefit of input from the general membership.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 29-405.05(a) and 29-405.20 of the District of Columbia Nonprofit Corporations Act (the "Act") and Articles VII.1 and XVI.1 of the Bylaws of the Association of Women in International Trade, Inc. ("WIIT") that the Annual Business Meeting of Members of WIIT will be held commencing at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd day of May 2024 at

Please plan to attend, as a quorum is required to conduct necessary business, including the election of officers and committee chairs. The slate of proposed officers and committee chairs will be circulated shortly.
  
Members who are unable to attend the annual meeting may vote by proxy by completing and submitting the proxy form in accordance with the instructions provided on the form.
 
All proxies are due no LATER THAN 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. All Proxies shall be considered deposited if received via facsimile on (202) 861-1743 marked for the attention of Barbara Linney and Sha Zhu or via email at blinney@bakerlaw.com and szhu@bakerlaw.com by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2024. All members of WIIT in good standing as of Friday, May 10, 2024, are entitled to notice of the meeting, which may be delivered electronically in accordance with Article XVI.1 of the Bylaws. Instead of making the list of such members available as provided in subsection 29-405.20(b) of the Act, WIIT has elected to proceed under subsection 29-405.20(b) of the Act. Any member who wishes to inspect an alphabetical list of the names of all members who are entitled to notice of the meeting, including the address of and number of votes each member is entitled to cast at the meeting, may submit a request for inspection during regular business hours and at the member's expense on or after two (2) business days following the date of this notice to Barbara Linney, Counsel for WIIT, via email at blinney@bakerlaw.com  with a copy to Sha Zhu, via email at szhu@bakerlaw.com stating a proper purpose for which inspection is demanded.
