Environment & Energy

Energy, be it fossil fuels or renewables, powers and enables global trade. Global trade shapes energy developments, in terms of commercial, security and political dynamics. Our program section sponsors discussions on the factors shaping the evolving global energy trade and the implications of policies emerging around the world aimed at combatting the effects of climate change.

Discussions cut across the energy spectrum to include oil, natural gas, coal, electricity, renewables, nuclear power industries and critical minerals. The energy transition, the impact of sustainability trends across energy markets, and how these factors feature in global policymaking are also addressed in our programming.

We examine both the fundamental supply and demand trends that shape the economic relationships and geopolitical dynamics between countries and regions around the globe - from China, India, Russia and Brazil to the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe and the United States.
