Imports & Supply Chain

The Imports & Supply Chain Program Section focuses on timely issues impacting all aspects of the global supply chain, from trade remedies, customs, and tariff matters to issues related to transportation logistics, reshoring or securing manufacturing. The program section has also recently focused on the impact that global pandemics, disasters, and the global order can have on critical supply chains.

Stakeholder Engagement: The section produces events featuring issue stakeholders, policy experts, legal practitioners, and representatives from U.S. regulatory agencies, including U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. International Trade Commission, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other federal agencies involved in regulating imports into the United States.

Recent Programming: Recent program topics include policy recommendations for current supply chain disruptions, rules of origin relating to the implementation of USMCA, forced labor issues, and the promotion of women’s rights under U.S. trade preference programs.
