Student Scholarship Recipients Spring 2022
Our merit-based scholarships are awarded twice per year to support and encourage women studying all aspects of International Trade including commercial relations, trade policy and negotiations, economic development, women’s economic empowerment, and more. We are excited to announce the following recipients for spring 2022.

Honored to announce the two incredible WIIT Young Leader Scholarship winners for Spring 2022.
Both Charlotte Serage and Amanda Sterling contributed amazing essays that demonstrate their breadth of interest in trade, and opportunities to contribute to the WIIT Community. We welcome them as new members!! Charlotte’s winning essay addressing China’s Belt & Road Initiative as well as Amanda’s essay on CFIUS role in digital technology will be upcoming WIIT programs so stay tuned!
Charlotte Serage

Interested in all things international, Charlotte moved from her hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma to London, England for her bachelor’s in international business. She graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London, finishing first in her class, and then she moved to Madrid to work (and improve her Spanish) after graduation. After returning to the US, she completed her master’s in international affairs at the University of Utah and now works at World Trade Center Utah, helping companies in the state trade and invest in international markets. In her free time, Charlotte loves to travel–she has visited 42 countries and four continents. She also enjoys scuba diving with her family, reading horror books, and playing Trivial Pursuit.
Amanda Sterling

Amanda Sterling is a rising fourth-year law student in the part-time evening program at the Temple University Beasley School of Law and was previously the Managing Editor of the Temple International & Comparative Law Journal. In addition to her studies at Temple Law, Amanda works full-time in consulting, focusing on forensic investigations and international trade compliance. This summer, she is taking a sabbatical from her consulting job to work as a summer associate at Troutman Pepper in Philadelphia. Amanda is excited to join WIIT through this scholarship and is very grateful for WIIT's support!
