WIIT Committees

Thank you to the hardworking, creative volunteers who lead these key committees for our association.

• Communications Committee - helps coordinate the content for the WIIT Weekly, our quarterly Communique and social media channels
•  Elections Committee - solicits nominations, prepares slate of candidates in advance of the Annual Meeting, and organizes and administers WIIT elections
•  Membership Committee - recruits and welcomes new members, creates and updates membership materials 
•  OWIT - liaison between the Washington WIIT Chapter and the Organization for Women in International Trade (OWIT)
•  Professional Development Committee - sponsors events to help participants further their personal development and professional skills, with a view to helping them land jobs and advance in their careers
•  Programming Committee - assists with coordination for events and trade talks organized by Program Officers and maintains Bluebook guide on event planning and policies
•  Special Events Committee - organizes and coordinates WIIT’s signature social and fundraising events: Holiday Reception and Silent Auction to benefit the WIIT Charitable Trust; International Women’s Day Celebration honoring women ambassadors to the United States; and the Annual Awards Dinner
•  WIIT Charitable Trust - supports women’s access to the benefits of international trade through providing educational opportunities, connecting women entrepreneurs to global markets, and improving the knowledge base
